What Is Higgerson School Historic Site?

Higgerson School Historic Site celebrates the history and heritage of the isolated Mississippi River landing established by the Higgerson Brothers in the 1890's and the Higgerson School which served that community from 1930 until it was closed in 1968.


Tours consist of a video on the history of Higgerson Landing and Higgerson School, a self guided tour of our river life museum and a guided tour of the Higgerson School. 

You have the option to schedule your tour online by using the tab above. 

We now offer a joint ticket for Higgerson School and the Historical Museum.
